Excellent hotel but far from all attractions
beautiful and well maintained hotel, beautiful room, very comfortable bed
Everything is excellent and meet my expectations for a Hanoi hotel. This is the only hotel that I will stay again when I return to Hanoi. Due to its location, you will need to take taxi because there's no attraction nor shopping within walking distance. Breakfast buffet is pricey and does not worth $25.

Lovely Hotel
Great service and facilities
The hotel is situated on Westlake, away from the busy traffic of Hanoi. You can hear the bird chirpping in the morning, something you do hear in Hanoi. The staff speak good english and provide execellent service.

Nice view & room
Good staff service, hotel surrounded by nice lake, room was nice
The staff was very attentive & caring. The room was spacious & comfotable. I enjoyed my stay there. Unfortunately breakfast was not included. We had our lunch which was buffet style (only resturant available) but had Vietnamese food too. Reasonable for the price.

Great views and away from the bustle and noise
Service was the best. English & Mandarin speaking too
intercontinental is a little way from the old quarter or central hanoi, but a cheap taxi ride and could be reached by foot. the staff were outstanding, very helpful, made us restaurant/spa bookings, opened doors, carried our bags, and refused any tips. food/restaurants and room service within the hotel is 2nd to none. the included secure (guarded) parking for cars and scooters was a valued bonus.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Hire a scooter; Although Hanoi traffic is notorious, riding there is not as dangerous or difficult as some may make it sound. Get out and about to enjoy Hanoi.

The hotel is about 5 mins of taxi to good dining places. The foods in the hotel is not great.Took about 25-30 mins for our food to arrived & taste below standard.When we were there for lunch around 2.30pm there were only 2 tables who were occupied & yet it takes such a long time. The staffs were friendly .
